Born to two Southern Californians on the East coast, Sarah Morgan is a native of the U.S. and U.K., growing up in Norfolk, England and various parts of the U.S. She was trained in media at the University of Virginia and fashion design at the University of Kingston in London. Her love for history and modern art led her to follow the work of Yinka Shonibare and expressionists, such as fauvists and Stanton Macdonald-Wright. Her work developed to include an understanding of color and sculptural context. With a background in film and vintage fashion, all her work is based on personal experience, with elements of feminism, color, and satirical context. To Morgan, art is meant to express, from the personal to the societal, but it should please the artist and reveal their internal world to the viewer.
